ABOUT ME

Hello, I’m Elena, a professional photographer with five years of experience, based in New York for the past two years. My work centers on capturing the beauty of love stories through marriage proposals, City Hall elopements, engagements, and intimate weddings. As your photographer, I become a 'witness' to your love story, dedicated to capturing genuine, heartfelt moments as they unfold.
My goal is to create a comfortable experience where these moments naturally lead into classic, timeless portraits. Each image I deliver is crafted with care and captures the uniqueness of your special day, preserving it with love and attention to detail.
YOUR BEAUTIFUL LOVE STORY
Everyone expresses their feelings differently, some brightly and emotionally, some tenderly and reverently, and my task is to show your sincere emotions and tell your story.

ABOUT MY WORKING CONDITION AND A COUPLE OF TIPS

Let's start

  • I usually use my email helcom56@gmail.com for communication to ensure that we understand each other and all conditions are clearly outlined.
  • I respond to messages as quickly as possible.
  • The typical timeframe for delivering photos is 5-7 business days, excluding the day of the shoot. This doesn’t apply to weddings.
  • I will send you a contract that will spell out the details.
  • The main conditions are specified in the price list.
  • I don’t alter body shapes in editing. My processing style is natural retouching and true-to-life colors (by viewing my portfolio, you agree to this). I also don’t edit locations (specifically, I don’t retouch all photos; on the best shots, I can remove litter and people, if necessary).
  • I don’t provide raw files, as I shoot in RAW format, which is not compatible with iPhone and takes up a significant amount of storage. Only the best photos are provided in JPEG format, fully edited.
  • Important moments, such as proposals, I record on my phone. However, please note that it’s not professional video footage since my phone is attached to my camera.
  • I take a deposit, typically 30% of the total cost, and this is non-refundable if the shoot is canceled within a week of the scheduled date. This is because I reserve the time specifically for you and prepare for the shoot by researching ideas and references.
  • Please save your photos. I usually keep photos for 1-2 months. I strongly recommend downloading them to multiple devices and to cloud storage as soon as possible.

Here are a few tips for the photoshoot:

  • Go for a natural makeup look, and bring blotting sheets and a hairbrush with you.
  • Choose clothing in natural shades.
  • Be yourself during the shoot. You’re welcome to laugh, chat, be loud and funny, be sweet, and hug and kiss often. This isn’t a Vogue photoshoot, it’s a reflection of your life in the moment.
  • Try to schedule your session for the morning.
  • We’re in one of the world’s most popular tourist cities. If you’re camera-shy or want a more empty background, sunrise (and the 2-3 hours after) is your friend.
  • If you’re after the most beautiful lighting, choose sunset time – the “Golden Hour.” Just check the weather app for the sunset time.
  • I also recommend preparing a few specific photo ideas you’d love to capture during our session. Don’t be shy if you have any special or funny poses in mind.
